1. I passed the donation tin around today. It came back half full. It also came back with little messages written on the sides, saying "If you're pretty, give me money!" and "Don't stop if you're hot!". Wow, we really rock. Funny and thoughtful.
Much, much later, i empty the contents of the tin onto my table. I can barely see my table surface through the stacks of notes. Not just blue ones, too.
This is how we save lives. Thank you for showing me that there's more to us than what people perceive us to be.
2. I spot the couple again, and this time i tell them what i think. They both smile. The spaces between them is filled with so much affection that it's hard not to feel happy watching them.
3. I offer to start the next round of patient interviews. "Who's with me?", i ask.
And then i run into what must have been the funniest and most difficult SP i've ever had to deal with, insisting on medication with ginseng in it and yellow (not blue) papers and other whatnots. I am embarrassed by my fallibility but i learn a lot.
4. "Congratulations for surviving another day!" True words. It's a challenge but i'm loving every day i spend here. Booyah.
