of bak kut teh, leg regions and oil lamps

1. I reread a "Walk to Remember" and see us in every word. I wonder how Nicholas Sparks manages to bind emotions to the page? It's an amazing gift.

2. Not for the first time, i get lost driving to a place whose geographical location should be in my radar for good. A simple phone call fixes that, and i am pleased to note that i wasn't that far off. Hooray for me.

3. A random text wishing me good luck for the exams, a pleasant surprise.

4. Deepavali, the festival of lights. One lights an oil lamp to dispel darkness from his life. A beautiful, symbolic ritual. I light my very first oil lamp and i pray that the world is that much brighter for it.

As the lights burn merrily, i see goodness and hope reflected in their soft flames.

5. A special shout out to Jing, because he made me realise why i started blogging in the first place. =)
