1. I usher the Taiwan and Hong Kong delegates down from the bus to registration, and then to lunch. Later on I help two Japanese delegates and the whole Hong Kong bunch again. It's an amazing feeling to know that you've made someone's day just that little bit better.
2. I bury my nervousness and go all out for my first time as an emcee since 2004. The Head of the School of Medicine congratulates me on a job well done.
3. I hit the buffet table, starting with the ais kacang, and i get a sugar high that propels me just about all over the place. Perhaps its also due to the euphoria of knowing that we had a fantastic first day, with the best still yet to come!
4. I meet J randomly and catch up with her; her father owns the catering company!
5. AS tells me that she felt the enthusiasm and spirit from the opening ceremony. I'm glad i did a good enough job.
