1. The university is buzzing with anticipation - the conference is days away and everyone's throwing themselves into it.
2. I take a break from the world, something i don't get to do very often. I have lunch by myself, get ignored by the drinks lady, and basically observe scenes at a local coffeeshop. There's a girl in her school pinafore helping her mum sell mixed rice, i thought that was very devoted of her. The customers chat with the stall owners at the top of their voices; everyone looks contented.
3. After a painful, exhausting two hours and forty minutes, we beat No Mercy. J's first attempt at L4D leaves him wanting for more!
